Setting up skin health surveillance course
Skin health surveillance is an essential element in most occupational skin management systems. It aims to detect skin problems at the earliest point so early action can be taken, such as:
- Identifying causative exposures and improved exposure management
- Advice and treatment to allow continuation at work
- Ensure others remain unaffected
- Advice and guidance to ensure high standards maintained
Many workplaces are required to have a skin health surveillance system. This is the case if a worker in your workplace has had an occupational exposure related skin problem, PPE is being used, or if the industry is known to have the potential for workers to develop work related skin issues. This training course aims to provide participants with the skills to develop and implement an effective skin health surveillance system.
